I am trying to install an air/fuel gauge, and it is suppose to be attached to the oxygen sensor at the ECU. I thought i could just splice into the wire - but it turns out to be a single wire, wrapped by another wire.

Can i splice into this double wire - if so how?

Or

How do i find the ECU oxygen sensor?

Thanks

Houston

is it a double wire coming all the way from the O2 sensor? How many sensors do you have? I know on my k-jet car it has a one wire sensor at the bottom of the manifold and thats it, I was able to just put the a/f gauge pick-up at the connector.

The O2 sensor wire is usually shielded to prevent outside interference or induction. It is best to splice into the car harness which is often unsheilded
