I having been hearing a small clunk in the front left suspension on my 740. So today i checked the ball joints, tie rods and bushings which all were fine. While using the pry bar though i could hear a small noise in the upper left strut. Is it common for the strut mount to go bad? Visually everything looks fine.

I know the upper strut bushing on the 240s goes bad and gets clunky. not sure about 7s though
