What is the inspection interval for the timing chain on the V6?

What is involved? I had a quick look at the Haynes manual and
it look like a very challenging (scary).

I don't know the inspection interval, or if there even is one. Pulling the front cover takes a whole lot of effort so I'm sure nobody makes a habit of checking them too often. Mine were still pretty good at 300,000+ km, though the guides were getting pretty crusty.

25 bolts and moving stuff. It look very intense.
Even the valve adjustments aren't easy - one side is ok. I was told the
side with the A/C compressor requires moving it and hanging if away.

Nothing is easy on this motor.

Changing spark plugs isn't terrible.
