Are the normal replacements giving you trouble? I have always had my best luck with basic plugs - Champion copper or NGK V-power. Platinum or Iridium plugs belong in cars with really fancy ignition systems and really long change intervals, or when the plugs are impossible to get to. For us, buy them cheap and reliable and replace them every couple years.

Pulled the existing plugs. They looked new NGK (like replaced before I got the car).
But gap-ed wrong. At .040. Likely installed as they came out if the box.

Re-gapped at 0.030 and put back in.

Seem to feel more power, less knocking around.
