I am debugging the ABS on my 89 - 780 (B230FT).

Question: Is the ABS sensor suppose to be in contact (and spin)
with the teeth of the ABS ring on the hub? Or is the sensor measuring
the air gap via magnetic flux variation?

The toothed ring is part of the hub, the sensor is mounted to the strut and stays stationary to count the teeth as they spin past.

Thanks for the reply. I installed the new sensor. Tough work getting it out as it was
totally fused. Cleaned the crap off the old sensor ring and now the new sensor reports
A/C ohms when spinning the hub.

ABS light is off now. All my brakes finally renewed and working on my rust puzzle 89-780.
