The engine does have an intermediate shaft with the dist. gears, so I'm good to go there.
Lots of work being done in the last while. Depending on the day and how I'm feeling, I've been trying to get out there a fair bit to get some of the prep work done.
First up, my prized R-Sport cluster was sent down to Florida to Roger to get an overhaul. Included is a new circuit board as mine was broken, new lighting strip, a reset ODO, and I decided to go with an LED conversion as well.
Here's the LEDs going in:

Here's a finished pic, with the LEDs fully dimmed. The dimmer switch will mount on the console.

Back in the garage I've just been wire wheeling, cleaning and painting whatever I have. 23mm GT sway cleaned and ready for paint, (25mm going up front) and strut/brake assembly sanded and painted. All the front suspension bits are getting repainted, and full poly as well.

I spent many many hours getting the block and head clean. Its now been wire wheeled and ready for paint. I've got the lighter Ford blue POR engine enamel going onto the block, and the POR manifold paint for the turbo and my new 90+ manifold.

Other than the 90+ and paint, the engine is getting all new gaskets/seals, B-cam with adj. gear, a later starter, manual boost controller, IPD HD cap, the b21ft colder oil thermostat, a 71 degree water thermostat, new water pump, IPD rear oil seal retainer, and a 10 bar oil pressure sender for the cluster.
The engine bay is now clean, and I resprayed the crossmember, as well and cleaning and respraying the steering rack.

Other shiny/new bits. I'm gonna run the early 8.5" flywheel, which was recently resurfaced. New Mintex pads for the front brakes, all new ABA hose clamps, and a new Deka ETX20L battery (around 15lbs) which will sit in the right rear butt cheek. I also scored a fairly new aluminum rad from the JY which should help with the cooling issues I had before.

More shiny clean bits. Brake rotors have all been turned, and the centers painted.

Athal's old 242 rear end with Truetrac is just about ready to go. The rear bits aren't getting painted this time around, but everything going in has poly bushings in it just like the front. My old rear was running the stock 4.10 ratio, but this new one is a 3.54...should be a nice jump, so I'm excited for the taller gearing.

Other than that, there's lowering springs all around, and Koni yellows are going in, along with camber plates in the front. Oh...and there's some new shiny bits that hold the tires to the car going on too!
