The interweb of truth and reconciliation. But seriously, they are the only corner weights I've seen for our cars and I need the weights as a start point as I need to get coil overs purchased pronto.

Lets see if this works...this is my C4 suspension model. I needed to compute the roll centre.

Just parking this here for now...here's a Mustang riding on Vintage Wheel Works V-48's at 17 X 7 with about the right offset. These are currently in the running for the car.

Okay, yes. I doubt they're terribly light, but they've got the right blend of modern and classic. I approve.

+1. Big shiny lips and a Panasport like look to the spokes, I'd take a set for the wagon.

Picked up some Acura bucket seats from Matt, raced home to Lethbridge to try them in the car.

Here's the start point, 242 seats with leather covers looking a little worse for wear and ready to be recovered or recycled.

Image

Here's the new buckets just sitting in place (mounts will be built later).

Image

They have a more slender profile and fit the car a lot better. They only need to come off the floor about 1.5" to be perfect. Once leather covered (with vertical stitching to match the rest of the interior look), they'll look right at home. I'm not sure about the head rests - might fill the hole in the centre - might just leave them alone.

I needed clearance for the new Jag centre console - I needed about 6" (with the 240 seats it wasn't going to fit) - no problems now.

Image

Once the console is installed, I'll set the final position of the seats and new seat belts.

There's even room for the original parking brake. Nice. Oh and an added bonus is they are about 7-8 kg lighter than the 240 seats.

=D> I'm glad they fit and look as good as they do. Next time I see a passenger side at PNP and I'm with knife I'll liberate some replacement foam for those two bolsters on the deiver's side. They should be easy enough to find and make work, and the PS is always pristine in those cars.

Much appreciated all around Matt. The drivers side is a little soft so really needs new foam - and you know that I jumped in and made engine noises and shifted the transmission and waived to the crowd   . Felt awesome. The weight difference was alarming. I didn't think the 242 seats were that heavy. Deirdre liked the way the seats felt as well.

I haven't given an update in a while...but I've been busy (mostly on other cars, but the 122 is progressing). Anyway, I had to clean up the trunk due to a small fire that I started with my plasma unintentionally.

With all the tar paper and goop Volvo slopped on, there was a few evenings gone (ah, the Varsol memories).

Clean.

My latest adventure is to have a set of flared fenders built...so I found a good set and chopped them off a perfectly rusty car (they are pretty much perfect - so random). I'm mocking up the flare right now. I want just a little more lip at the top and around an inch more at the bottom to cover the tires better.

This week should see the IRS mount points sorted out (I hope).

Just putting this here so I can remember that I like this colour and it will be easier to make than the rest.

Porsche Creme White (late model)

That sort of reminds me of the old-Ford Wimbledon White.
