Yup - get'er done. I didn't apply. I don't know what I would do with stuff from IPD when my car will be so bastardized that nothing will fit. I could have gifted stuff to the club - but I'm glad we've got a contender. We're small - but we do build some crazy cool stuff. Don't be upset if it turns into a local Portland love-fest. Many of us have BTDT.

Acquired some parts this weekend. Old style grill and lights, and some gauges. Not sure what ill do with them just yet but they are very cool.

I'd like a matching speedo and tach but we'll see...

Where did the gauges come from? I've got a box full of VDO Jet Cockpit (Volvo R-Sport) gauges somewhere including a NOS Speedometer. I might be talked out of something...

I got them from a guy in Red Deer in a package deal with the grill for $50.

What are you doing with yours?

Some of them will go in a custom cluster for the 122. The rest are spares.

Well Dale of you have an extra tach, speedo and oil pressure I'd take them off your hands for a price. Id like to make a custom cluster as well. I know these are rare though and the chances of you having that many spares is quite small.

They're not that rare...keep your eye's peeled on Turbobricks - they pop up all the time. There's even a guy that specializes in rebuilding the clusters and he's usually got some for sale. Can't recall his name - google r-sport cluster.

And for the non-Volvo variety, watch eBay for Bricklin gauges...

His username on Tbrix is RP80242GT+T, I believe he uses the same name on ebay where he advertises for the cluster repair.

Hey guys, things got crazy and I haven't been on here much. Here's a sneak peak of what I've been up to...

I had to modify the transmission cross member a bit because of how far back I had the engine sitting. A little nub on the tranny kept hitting.

Image

Tied up some wiring and put my new found wire loom to use and completed the harness I made.

Image

Image

Installed a custom throttle cable I found at Mopac for a universal application

Image

Image

New coil for the MSD and polished the old Volvo bracket that holds it.

Image

Fuel pressure regulator, I'm using a GM TBI fuel pump that spits out about 9-12 psi max so it should be perfect for what I need.

Image

I went with a Quick Fuel 580cfm carb off a recommendation from Matt at the Mustang Shop (those guys are great btw)

Image

The starter solenoid was hidden behind the grill. Easy access to replace it if anything goes wrong and you can't tell it's really there unless you look. As of now it's all wired up and cranks over. I've hidden as much of the wiring as I could to keep things clean and tidy. I hate messy engine bays/work, I believe it takes a lot away from what's actually there sometimes.
