"Only" took 3 cans of engine degreaser and a pressure washer, but at least now I can look at it without getting dirty. Can't understand how people can let their car get that bad?

If the wiring harness exposed wire-end bits stood up to the pressure washer then perhaps the wiring is ok for a while. By the way, I have one the same year and colour, also from a friend of Roj a couple of years ago. Also had rust issues but it ran and rode so well that I did the work.

Sometimes that is the advantage of a disgusting engine bay. Now you won't get too greasy when working on the engine.

i think its time to do the same to mine. im sick of oily hands...
