Looking for a windshiled (and seal) for a 1970 145...

I read somewhere that 240 windshields were compatible, can anyone confirm this?

I missed the groupon $120 coupon for CalAlta :(

A 240 windshield will fit. I would go for a late model 240 windshield but that may not suit the look of the rest of the car.

Because of the late model trim or the tint?

I read somewhere that 91-93 240's had a better trim or something, I wouldn't be able to use the 145 chrome but I think that goes for all the 240 winshield trim.

Could I use 240 glass & 145 trim?

You might want to call around. the older style glass with metal trim may be NLA, I think all 240 glass is now supplied with the black rubber trim

Because of the late model trim. There's no chrome, and just a rubber seal, which can look a little funny. Yes, 91-93 are the years. I doubt you could use 240 glass with 140 trim, and Athal could be right, that you can't get 240 glass with any chrome anymore. When I did my windshield a few years back, I still had a choice, but it took the glass place a bit of convincing that the late model glass would fit. You may encounter the same.

Still looking...
I've located the 145 specific rubber but am still hunting for the glass.
I don't really understand why the rubber from a 145 wouldn't work with a 240 windshield if the glass is the same size. Can someone clear this up for me?

Pretty sure the 240 glass has the rubber trim integrated/bonded to it- you can't swap them around.
