THREAD REVIVAL!!!

Oh dear. I talked to my old mechanic, who became the owner of my Dad's 760, and he has decided for the time being its not worth rebuilding the engine of the car. Apparently the head is warped beyond repair spec, and the bottom end is requiring a rebuild. His cost to do it is too great, and as such, has decided to wait on the rebuild. He did recently receive an '84 245, which he is parting out. The engine is fine, so he is considering swapping a b230f into my Dad's car. Not sure how soon he is doing this.

At any rate, I mentionned there was some interest for the car on this forum a while back, and he said if anyone wants it, its now available. I will have to verify specifics about price etc. if anyone is interested. But I do know this: car has no engine in it, the b23ft needs a rebuild, and the car is in Medicine Hat. My Dad has since given up on getting much money out of it, but my mechanic might want something. Not sure.

If anyone is interested, let me know ASAP.

Zero rust. I think I once found I tiny speck of surface rust near the rear license plate....but that's about it from what I remember.

I wonder if she'd trade a wagon for a sedan? The 760 is gettin' kinda rusty but the engine is still pretty strong...

I could have done this car in the summer, but I just bought one yesterday as my replacement so no go on the cash flow.

Don't forget it's mint green - ultimate sleeper colour.

Yeah...it's a love-hate thing. Some people love that color combination. Some people hate it. I'm not real sure. I think the biggest problem is the horific wheels they come with. With a nice set of wheels, it might not be too bad...

Let me know Greg. Apparently I don't have enough on my plate this fall already...

You don't like Novas Dale? I like 'em on this car. Silver fronts with grey insides go well with the metallic paint I find.
I'll phone Doug tonight and see what's what, and get back to you.

I don't think Dale knew this car came with Sirius wheels (like what's on his 760 right now). I think he's thinking about those awful disc-style-turbine things.

That green car would look smokin' with my Bertone's wheels, painted gold with a polished lip. I'm not sure if I'm offering or not, yet.

Hmmmm....Bertone wheels would look nice....are these the ones you're talking about?

OK, so am I getting Novas and Sirius' mixed up? Frick, I've never had that clarified. No wait, they're the same wheel? I've seen two different wheels under the name Nova.

They're these ones....

Gray insides, silver fronts and lip.

Lots of people wrongly call those wheels "Nova", but in fact they're called Sirius.

The first wheel you posted is the 15x6 Bertone GLE (V6) wheel. My car is sporting the Turbo wheel (the 15x7 multi-x)

Well...I've got a set of new tires on Sirius wheels on the white wagon so if you can provide something to roll the wagon on, you are welcome to the wheels on the 764. Siriusly...

And Greg, I'll take it, provided the asking price isn't anything significant...

Yur always confused...

Here's the deal. If I get this car, the engine from the white wagon will go into it and teh white wagon will go to the crusher...once everyone has stripped the parts they want/need out of it. Since I dislike the ruts left in my driveway by draggin a car with no wheels down it, I'd rather have a set of junk wheels and tires on it to get it towed away. The white wagon currently sports a set of Sirius wheels with brand new tires. Those would, more than likely, go on the green car, so the wheels on the green car should be available, should some young fellow named Viktor be looking for a set of Sirius wheels...

Got it? :D
