Might as well get this topic back on track; there's plenty of Volvos at Pick-n-Pull (Edmonton) and another local near by (KarBashers). Sorry I didn't get engine/tranmission specs. Most are in pretty decent shape and good for pulling. If anyone needs anything handy to pull let me know, although I probably won't be back until next weekend.

did you happen to remember if any of the 240's had black rear head rests for the sedan? or a passenger headlight assembly with the black holder for the 87 and newer?

Definitely no black rear head rests as I'm after a set myself! As for the headlights, didn't see any of the big rectangle later type. Will keep an eye out tomorrow.

There is two (yes, 2!) 242 GLTs at KarBashers as of September 19th 2009;

Silver body, blue plush interior, B23E/M46

Red body, original black interior, B23E/M46

Parked right beside each other. Both are reasonably complete although a bit of a state. Some decent '2 door' parts to be had; all glass complete, all door cards complete minus drivers rear in the black interior.

I won't be back again until next Saturday (closes early on Saturdays, closed on Sundays) but if anyone needs anything let me know.

Unico, there's a gold 244 across from the 2-doors with the larger headlights, they are pretty faded though...

my lenses are ok, its the assembly behind them that was damaged in a small fender bender. I will not be in the edmonton area till the end of the month. I have wanted to get my benz out of storage in drayton before it snows, but with school i just havent made it out there yet. How long has it been there?

Well, looking at my list from my last visit Aug 29th it must have been the '89 244 DL, gold/tan' - I guess I just over looked it as it was a later model! The whole car is sitting there mostly complete minus the grille, it actually doesn't look in back shape. If you let me know what you need exactly I'll pull it next week and can hold until your up this direction (providing you definitely want it). Usually KarBashers is cheaper than PnP.
