At work (in Edmonton), I have been given the task of liquidating  some older stock tires. They are new unless mentioned and have never been mounted.
Some are really old stock...
If anyone wants a single never mounted Pirellli P600 in 235/60r16 from ~1991 or a Michelin MXX3 in 225/45ZR17 that has wear on the shoulders but is new down the center, they are free. We used to give slicks away, but there was a reason for that- to build wheelwells around. I can't imagine but maybe someone wants a 225/45r17 to measure or mount?

More seriously:

Pirelli p6000 225/55r16 set of 4, at least 9 years old...and probably as hard as the back of supermans head, but new with the stickers and the umm, little nipply things still on 'em...and.... If you had $200 I could put the set of 4 to your door, and leave you a $20 in your pocket for pizza.

Michelin Pilot Sport (NOT the A/S variant) 225/50r16 set of 4 It's either these or another set that have been mounted and driven on, little or no miles, similar pricing as above

Michelin 225/45r17 Pilot Alpin (performance winter) pair only, 60ea obo

Michelin 225/45r17 Pilot Sport (pure summer) set of 3, $150 obo for all 3

Michelin 245/40r17 MXX3 (pure summer) set of 3 $150 obo for all 3

Michelin 255/45r17 Pilot Sport (NOT the A/S variant) set of 4 It's either these or another set that have been mounted and driven on, little or no miles, $400/4

Michelin 255/40r18 Pilot Sport (NOT the A/S variant) set of 4 new $400/4

Pirelli 255/45r18 performance winter, 4 for $650 (have 6)

Pirelli 255/50r19 Perf winter $240ea (have 8 of them)

Conti 295/40r20 Perf winter $340ea set of 4

Will trade for 8 of 285/35r20 winter tires... seriously. :? And you know the names of the owners  , only one of which has finally started to listen to reason that he should "minus one" fit 255/40r19's  to some replica rims...

How old are the 16" michelins? I need something for my gemini thingies that will fit darth and the 242. My 215/45/17s JUST fit the 242 without rubbing, but they have a big rim protector and I will be widening the fenders a touch next year.

Anyone see any fit issues with 225/50/16 on a 940 or 240? 7 inch wide rim.

If not, and they're not too old and hard as rock, I'll take them Ian.

Athal, I ran 225 50 16 on a 7.5" rim on my 91 740. No rubbing. Not even in driveways.

I've got 225/50/16s on a 7 inch rim in the back no problem. This is a fwd rim though with a 32mm spacer.

Ok, I've read the mails, but from home. I will look at the DOT date codes of manufacture, I may even have taken down notes in that regard but I don't have them at home. The report I took with me shows we sold a pair in Jul 2005, no receipt date field is present. I don't know whether these predate that sale or not. I assume they do.

FWIW, I have 225/55r16's on a 140 with miles of clearance, mind you it doesn't have bumpers of a full interior yet, but it does have cut front springs. I have called dibs on a [not listed above] set of 245/45r17 winter Michelins for it as well. :D
"Plus 2" winter's FTW... that's plus 80mm in width vs OE.

I will look at studding capabilities. Personally, I am strongly against doing so based on my own experience. They are like ball bearings on wet roads, which is what we have a great deal of the time in winter... and what little effect they do give on "dry" ice hardly seems to make them worth it. YMMV.
Edit: looking at your icon, maybe this is for ice racing. More of a focused game, so yeah....

I'm looking for some 205 60-15's for my widened wheels. If anyone has some lying around that are decent, I'm interested.

Bad news:

1/ the 225/50r16's are spoken for.

2/I looked for studable tires and didn't see any.

What I didn't know is they have not-in-inventory take offs hidden in another spot, so I am going to have to go through those, too. I don't doubt there may be deals in there, but this turned into a waaay bigger job than I thought. Hang in there

Volvo wise I did see a pair of winter 185/65r15's.. Kumho or Hankook asymmetrical winter. Like new, but fine gravel in the blocks so they'd been mounted. $80+10 shipping/pair. Exact same as a Virgo's OE 195/60r15 in rolling radius.

yeah... apparently the part number was set up, and tires were sold, 2 years, maybe 3 ago. Recently, tires were ordered in under the same part number, for an upcoming appointment, so these are anything but overstock. Who knew? Certainly couln't tell by the way they were stocked...

Anyway, some photos:

P6000's (225/55r16) 4 for $180Image

225/45r17 Pilot Sport 3 for $150 :

Pilot 255/45r17 set of 4 100ea obo.

245/40r17 MXX3 I initially said $150 for three, try me at around $120 for 3....?
