So John is towing a moving trailer across the country, moving from Fort Langley to somewhere in Ontario, on or around November 1st. Like a silly bunt, he got rid of all his spare wheels in the cleanup for the move, but he never had any snows anyway...

Basically he's looking for some half decent snows mounted on rims, two would be helpful but he's probably going to want four. The decent-er, the better, with regards to rubber, and since he's got the stock brakes, any 14-16" RWD wheel would be welcome, assuming at least matching pairs.

Keeping in mind, he's going to need snow tires in Ontario anyway, I think he'd be better off getting wheels & buying new tires, but if he can get some half-used snow tires with the rims he doesn't have to burn off a brand new set of grippers doing the cross-country trek.

Provided he actually gets the paperwork to me in time for Dale and myself to go pick up the Bertone, the plan is for us to bring these to-be-foundd-and-paid-for wheels out to him this Thursday (the 13th of September). We'll need the wheels on the Wednesdy, if anyone's got any.

Let me know!

My friend Joe who bought my 92 245 also bought a set of gislaved snows on 240 14" steelies IIRC. He now wants to get rid of them. Being they are in portland, the big concern won't be the tire wear. It will be whether or not they are dry rotted.

The snows on 240 steelies have left portland and are soon to be at John's place. I think John is talking silly talk to get rid of his hydras....the snows I snagged for him will SUCK to drive on the dry. They are actually pretty new Hancook studded winter radials. They look properly snow worthy, but plenty squishy too and 185-70-14....aka fantastic size for deep snow...kinda teh suck in the dry.

I wish I could store the hydras for him more easily. I wish I could have shipped John my '92 245 daily POS...Ontario/buffalo NY will murder a car.

Oh well, the price for mounted and balanced nearly new snows was right.
