I'm confused....is the 9" the stepped flywheel?

Freakin' blind leading blind...

Yes, the 9" is stepped. Not the one you have, Greg.

Dale, is that for the 240 turbo, or the non-turbo? AFAIK, all the "turbo" clutches are 9" stepped, and quite a bit more expensive.

240 turbo's only went to the stepped clutch when they went intercooled from the factory, somewhere around mid 1984.

Quite correct young fellow. In fact, I asked him because he came back and asked, "intercooled?". He said the intercooled one was 9", the regular turbo one was 8 1/2"...

I know that, Athal, but most of the parts books don't.

However, Dale never answered the implied question - was that for the 9" or the 8.5"?

Is that stepped flywheel much heavier than the flat one?
I'm awefully tempted to plop down my $50 to VIk and just switch to that whole unit for the time being....
Or is there another problem with compatibility?
Vik....how much use is on this clutch?
Greg

It's substantially heavier Greg...don't do it. I hate to kill a sale for Viktor but no, you don't want it. The 8 1/2" has so many more performance options...Centerforce among them...not to mention, you'll hate the heavy flywheel...
