Hey guys, I have an opportunity to bring in some poly bushings. Not sure what my exact cost will be but it will be less than what you can buy them for from RSI or IPD. Let me know if you're interested and what you want and I'll get some prices...

A full set now includes rear bushings...

all 7-series stuff
2 ea. SPF3120K $30 each/60/car
1 ea. SPF3121K $42/car
1 ea. SPF3122K $59/car
2 ea. SPF3152K $50 each/100/car
1 ea. SPF2012K $87/car
1 ea. SPF2013K $53/car
1 ea. SPF1023K $36/car

Our prices will be a bit lower than this as my cost will be lower. These are in US$. Actually, we could likely do these prices in Cdn$ and be pretty close...

I'll be needing some for the YROG. At present I believe the only ones I need are the big rear trailing arm bushings. I'll double check today if there's anything else.

very cool, pricey but cool :)

i'll be honest, i dont know much about bushings, on a 7 series which ones are the most important to polyfy for stiffness/handling purposes?

im certain my most important rubber bushings are long gone.

In 700 series, the front conical ones wear with the regularity of the rising sun.


The rear torque rod design is good, but the construction is so granny I don't even know where to start. My 700 never drove quite right under abuse and power.


Throw the 740 in the trash can and get a real car.

like a 945? (heavier). :) also, my 740 don't drive quite right no matter what, but its a fun, loud car and i love it :)

Okay, I give up: I have no idea where the SPF3122K bushings go. The diff support (subframe, I'm guessing) bracket is bolted solidly to the car, and has bushings for the subframe. These bushings have no inner races, because the subframe just slides in there. That's what the SPF3121Ks replace. The torque rods are covered by SPF3120K and SPF3152K, but the 3152K is going to be a NIGHTMARE to get in there, since the ruber ones are already no fun to replace. Can't help but notice that there are no panhard rod bushings available...

Fake edit - Really??? The SPF3122K bushing replaces the bushing I said should never get replaced with Poly. That's the one at the front of the trailing arm - the one that's bolted to the body at 90* to the axis of pivot. Eh, I'm not sure about this one...

Well I am willing to try some of these, but I agree with Matt re: SPF3122K

I will need the:

Which ones are those ? Do 940s have those too ? Neither of the two front bushings listed for the 940 look conical to me.

I may be interested in the 2012Ks and the 2013Ks. Those are the two front ones listed for the 940.

Which of the rear ones are usually the first to go and which would make the biggest amount of difference to the handling of the car (940T) ? (Keep in mind I've got IPD sport springs, sways and Bilstein HDs on that car.) The '95 940T has ~180Kmiles on it. At what point does the rubber on those cars typically start giving out under normal use ?

Number 5 is the conical bushing which is SPF1023K, and it wears out constantly.
The rest of your bushings may or may not be OK

^^ what he said. There are different length front rods available from volvo to adjust the amount of caster you get (that is what the intent is...other alignment specs move around too of course). You also get more caster with the poly usually. Cramming them in there is un-fun with the longer rods (makes me almost feel ok about cramming them in there with a pry-bar in Jimbo mode...I wouldn't do that to someone's car...I try to work clean), but more caster is real nice on a well setup 700 with power steering.


Once you replace the cone bushings with a good brand poly, you don't have to touch them for a good long time. Volvo had about a million different versions of that bushing and they all suck basically, though the last flavor sucks a bit less.



Raz, I was only kidding. I like 700 series fine really. I just never got mine not to squirm under power despite my best efforts and had bad luck with my own 700/900 efforts.

Sounds good Raz. I'm going to let this ride for a few days to make sure everyone has seen it and responded if they want some. I'm not certain that I will get the pricing on future orders that I will get on this one but I can always hope...
