I've been looking at this crazy car for a couple of years, maybe more. It's been sitting outside a body shop on Dartmouth Rd. That whole complex has just been renovated and the car disappeared a couple of weeks ago. I was out in deep Forest Lawn (17 ave and 54 st) yesterday and low and behold, there it is in a fenced yard with a for sale sign on the dash. I called the number and spoke to Fred. The car is in pretty good shape. It's got some really minor surface rust on some stone chips and scratches but nothing under any paint from what I could see. No body damage from what I could see either. Fred says it runs great. I think he said it has just over 100k miles on it. Likely a B18 and M40. This is a nice solid car and wouldn't take a ton of work to make a nice clean classic. Fred would like to see $1000 for it. I have his number if you're interested.

I lived across from the PO (presumably Fred's dad), who owned it from new 'till at least the summer of 2000. For the last 5 years he drove it about once a week, regularly, to return bottles to the depot. It had 68,000 or so on the clock when we moved away. He was an old bugger and kept METICULOUS care of it - as far as I know, the paint was all original, and there was zero rust showing, not even a bubble. B18D with the winter air filter kit, and he had me install 240 wagon springs because he'd haul a trailer with it once in a while and he sagged out the stock rear springs.

What happened after we moved to Southwood, I don't know - I presume he died and his son took the car.
