What the....? Are my eyes deceiving me, or is that a shortened rear end AND a shortened wheelbase? Messed.

I think they're deceiving you, they deceived me at first too. Look at where the buttcheek meets the fender at the rear. Look at the panel welded into the back side window area. The scoop really shortens up that portion of the fender. I dunno, it looks a ton shorter, but it might be optical delusion.

Wow, that is messed up - engine not included for sure. I've always thought of my 242 as a Swedish Mustang (but it handles better and has similar HP compared to the cars of the time)...

Ah yes...I see. That panel welded into the window area throws things off. Holy amount of work Batman. Messed. I don't get it.

Edit: Looking at it again, I feel like the butt cheek is shorter than stock. And, I'm seeing a strong vertical line near the back of the trunk. Weld line perhaps? The back of the trunk is all dark in the pics, and I don't know if its the photo, or if that's where the trunk ends.

It definately looks shortened, but then again the pics are terrible, would make an interesting project for sure. You would think with that amount of work it would definately be "rust free". It is cheap enough, but looks like it requires considerable finishing......one of a kind :D

Ok - here we go...the VolStang

Versus the 242

I don't think anything has been shortened. He just added to the sail panel and fit in some window there. That would do nothing but resrict your side vision! I think the photo implies that the rear has been shortened - but it is too terrible to tell.

*revision* He sectioned the car just in front of the rear arch and took a few inches out of the roof - probably moved the trunk in 4-6" that is truely nuts.**

In my opinion he's filled the bumper depression area in the rear quarter and Frenched in some lights down low which means he covered the tail light holes in the 1/4 and rear. That's it - not really that much work if you're nuts  .

He must be getting out of Volvos. Same location. Wonder if "the car for sale is similar to the one in the photos"...

Pretty sure that interior shot is the car I posted a while back that was the twin to Roj's m46'd 940T. lol, this is what the car would like if the front end wasn't all smashed in, if you state in the ad that it has front end damage why show an undamaged car in the the pic???

That franken240 is just strange...

I saw that 940 on barlow once, noticed it was a manual tranny but couldn't tell what type.

Worth the price just for the parts that are visible, for sure. If I were closer I'd buy just to add to my parts collection.....although I would have to sneak it home while SWIMBO was away...
