Decided to post up a wanted ad separate from the thread on the damage to my wagon so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle. To reiterate I need a hood (preferably red , well I can ask...) for a 1990 740. From what I have researched the 90 is truly a bastard child as nothing else before or after will line up properly with the rest of the front end. I could do a complete swap from a 91-92 740 or all 940's as the fenders match up but that requires swapping everything else out, as I already have a line on Dale's headlight/corner light/trim piece I would rather get the one off hood and do it as quick and cheap as possible. While I'm at it I should grab a drivers side core support in case mine isn't salvageable. Closer to Lethbridge is better... I know, I'm asking for the moon but there it is.

The hood I was telling you about at Bucks Auto Parts in Sherwood Park is still there... I stopped by yesterday for a look. It's in good condition, rust free and looks straight. There's some minor scuff marks along the front edge. The car is a 1990 according to the engine bay and drivers door sticker. I forgot to check the price of their hoods, but they are generally cheaper than PnP!

I'd be a good sport and pull and store it for you, but I really have no way of transporting something like this and I live 50 KMs away in Leduc! If you decide to drive up to get it on a Saturday or Sunday I'll help you out. Bucks is only open to 2/3pm weekends, and 4.30pm weekdays.

Darren, THANKS for that it is greatly appreciated. As of right now that one appears to be my only option so I will start thinking about how I could get up there to grab it. Roughly how long do cars last on their lot before getting crushed?

The cars usually last a month or so although since the new ownership I haven't been back regularly enough to keep an eye on the time period, plus I'm not sure when this was put out. The cars around it seem pretty picked over.

The drivers side tail light is in nice shape although the passenger side is faded and I think possibly scratched in one area. The whole car is actually in pretty good shape!

The hood is still at Bucks, by the way! Now that the snow/ice has cleared some more,I can see it does have a few dings and scratches on it, but it's still a perfectly usable hood.

^^ Thanks Darren, I straightened out my damaged hood some what, It isn't very good but at least it's passable compared to before. Not sure when I might get that far to grab that hood, for now I'm going to hang on for a bit and really hope for one in Calgary.
