Head is beyond repair on my 940. So I need a head that will work on a 94 940 Turbo. Will a lh 2.2 head work on a 2.4?

PM me,

Jordan

You're welcome to the one I pulled off Darth in spring. Needs to be cleaned and checked, but should be ok.

2.2 and 2.4 heads should be identical. Coolant temp sensors are different but same size.

Are they? I know I needed a threaded insert to adapt my LH 2.4 sensor to your 2.2 head but it started out life as a 405 head so who knows...

Last week before my trip to Penticton in my 85 740T I installed a 2.4 sensor because I had it and the car needed one. No adapter needed and car ran like a champ. Bosch seems to think the values are the same (Bentley FI manual.)

Thanks Athal, I'll take it. I just have to find the tie to get down there. Will let you know when I can get down there.
Does it have an already shimmed cam in it?

Cam is out right now, I could throw it back in and check clearances though.

There's a random, non-CVC guy driving down from edmonton tonight to buy my old 240 exhaust. Want me to see if he'll take the head back with him for you? Let me know and I'll put you in touch with him.

Hey Athal,

A co-worker is passing through next thursday night, and then back through on Sunday. Any chance he could pick it up on sunday? Its the weekend of the 21st.

I'm out of town, but I could leave it in a garbage bag on the front porch or something.

So unfortunatly, Athals head was no good.

If someone can even pull one from a Junk Yard for me, I'll reimburse you for your time and energy.

No wonder I can't figure out how to tie my shoe laces! Good thing Jade thinks I'm pretty.

Sorry bud, I was afraid of that....
