Some of you already know...

At 10:00 last night I got a call that I would need to make a midnight run to Edmonton for our largest client. Turns out it wasn't such a bad thing. After a 3 hour nap and half an hour waiting for PYP Edmonton to open, I was treated to an untouched '79 GT. So after spending an hour and a half pulling parts, I have some bits and pieces...

IPD Swaybars...25mm front, 22mm rear. IPD stickers still on them. Need a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint but no serious rust. The front bar comes with nice urethane chassis bushings. The rear bar is a double hump design for under-axle exhaust. The 25/25 kits sell on eBay for $200US. IPD sells this kit for $282US. First guy to stick a $100 (Cdn) bill in my pocket takes them home. I'll even toss in some poly endlink bushings.

Upper GT braces...these are the diagonal braces that run from the strut tower to the firewall. Complete with the aluminum spacers that sit between the brace and the firewall. They sell between $45 and $55US on eBay. $30 (Cdn) and they're yours.

I also got a coin tray, a nice black leather shift boot, one nice GT headlight bezel and a pair of foglights and brackets and a really nice bright set of GT badges. The grill was broken up and I really had no use for the inflatable spare although it was quite nice. I got the front seats for my 122...

Call me or PM me if you're interested...

Ya I am, sort of.

The wife has a 93 244 still in BC that we are going to bring here.

Goign to swap my turbo engine from the 740 into it with the LH2.4 Turbo computers etc. It will be the daily driver, won't be too extreme.

Then I'll take her 93 block and build it. I bought a 16V head, intake Mani, and fuel rail. I was going to probably get SPM rods and pistons, but John on Turbobricks looks like is working somthing on CP pistons and some rods.

Then I just need to find a ProTurbo header, and a nice turbo and I'm set (already have a MS and Wide band).

I'll probably come out May long to pick these up along with a new Getrag and some other goodies.

I wasn't planning on building the engine until next summer, this summer was supposed to be "get a new getrag and strogner clutch (check), get Kaplan rear subframe and torque rods/pan hard rod, Kaplan Coil overs, and some Koni adjustables (these will most likely happen soon, probably with coil overs at the same time, maybe, tax return happened at the right time with a nice return)

Jordan

PS Greg you can take the braces. I have some already

Jordan,
Your plans for the 16v sound pretty good! I hope that comes together for 'ya. Sweet.
Thanks for letting me have the braces....they're going to good use.
Greg
