Hi, all.

It's time to scrap Roberta's 850 and pretty much anything anyone could want is up for grabs. That is, unless you want anything connected to the engine... that's already spoken for. This includes all sensors, wiring harness, injectors, etc.

Of possible interest to people are QBM sway bar endlinks, Bilstein shocks/struts, E-code headlight lenses (lenses only, complete with awful looking 3m adhesive), not one but two dog gates, a rear cargo mat in less-than-perfect shape, and a whole lot of stock everything else. The radiator is about a year old, there are braided lines on the brakes and the front brakes are fairly new (don't remember on the rears) but the car has been sitting for a while so there's a good bit of surface rust on 'em. I'm pretty sure the transmission will be available too, along with a 6 year old PNP switch. I did the outer CV joints a while back - not new, but disassembled/cleaned/greased/booted. The car is blue with beige interior. The interior isn't bad - the driver's seat is power and it all works fine (passenger is manual), both seat heaters work IIRC. Interior isn't mintymint 'cause let's face it: the car was an implement to haul kids & dogs & groceries.

I require that the car still rolls once we're done with it, and I would prefer to have people remove and take away the parts they want before Feb 11, though that could be extended to Feb 18 if the interest (and $$$) is great enough. I could remove parts, depending on the part and the simplicity, or for a premium. Make offers on anything because I'm getting $70/ton for whatever isn't removed from the car before I take it to Calgary Metal.

Edit - Billies & endlinks I'll require actual money for.

Holla!

I might be interested in some of these bits in the next week or so as i get a feel for what my 850 needs. What color is the car?

Dark blue, with tan interior. Act fast, I'm hoping to book a trailer for next weekend.

ok!
so depending on what you feel like pulling, i'd like:
-the endlinks
-Driver side door weatherstrip trim (the stuff that seals around the glass)
-passenger side headlight wiper motor + trim piece (and associated bracketry)
-if it's a manual i'd like the shifter boot cover
-cigarette lighter plug

Also, the electronic seat back-tilt runs but doesn't seem to do anything in my car...is it easier to replace the motor or to just replace the whole seat? If its easy to get at the motor, i'd like that. if it's the whole seat that needs replacing don't bother.

Let me know what you can get for me!

Thanks,
-Sol

Can't help you on the shifter boot or the headlight wipers. It's an automatic, and the wipers were dead when we bought the car so I pulled them works and tossed them. They were shattered inside and would randomly try to work, making an embarrassing grinding noise with the wipers pointing at odd angles.

I just pulled the driver's side window channel for you as I was turning on the furnace. I can get the whole cig lighter assembly for you too.

The endlinks are coming out anyway, so no problem. They might need the odd heim joint or two, as we noticed they started clunking like the stockers just before we stopped driving it. Those shouldn't be difficult to get from various bearing supply places or McMaster Carr, and that's the nice thing about these: they're rebuildable.

The seatback thing might be a cable. The seats in my 780 have all the motors in the bases and they use drive cables to motivate the devices. The seatback on the DS of that car also doesn't work... I'm not too interested in pulling a seat from the 850 apart to find out if that's how they're set up, though.

Let me know if you still want the endlinks or anything else and I'll start a pile here for you. I'd like $50 for the endlinks and if you take those the other parts I've pulled you can have for free. If you don't want the endlinks, shoot me $20 to pull & box the other stuff & we're good. (You pay the shipping.)

Oh, I should mention that I also have QBM upper and lower engine stay bushings plus a poly bushing (of unknown origin) for the upper engine side of the stay linkage. This is all available as well.

New-ish heater blower fan and a somewhat-recent Walbro fuel pump also.

I'll add more as I think of it.

No need to pull the assembly, i just need the lighter plug itself.
Would you still have the trim piece that goes under the passenger headlight or is that gone with the wiper stuff?

PM me your paypal info and i'll send the dough!

Just the lighter element and the grip itself? No problem. I do have the trim pieces, I'll send you both. Anything else you need?

I'm racking my brain here...

i do need this:
http://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-850- ... rim-49493/

But, i don't think that would be a good part to ship. I'll likely just pull & repaint mine.

i'll do some more digging this week, and let you know by Thursday if i need any more bits.

Thanks again!

-Sol

Here are the two affected areas:

Image

The inner part of the trim folds over and acutally causes an air gap between the window and the edge of the frame.

The top bit is just broken off for some reason.

The top section shouldn't be a problem. The bottom section I've already pulled for you, it's part of the window channel material. It folded itself over in Roberta's car all the time too, and it's a little deformed from sitting rolled over for the past year or so, but it's not too bad.
