Not sure how to put this out there but I am selling the 1978 242GT I picked up a couple of years ago. I could go in to a long winded explanation of the how's and why's of how I got to this point but the bottomline is the car is now for sale.

Rather than going through a rehash of the car's details I have attached the original thread from when I acquired the car. In it, Craig gives a far more detailed and knowledgeable description of the car than I ever could which is exactly as it sits today dry and secure in my garage. I also have a complete set of 242 side glass that comes with the car.

There are pics in the original thread, and I have more that I will try and get up later.

I see I posted quite a few pics in the original thread, if someone wants something specific please ask and I will put it up.

GRR. Do want.

Not that I can have it, but what's the price?

Dammit Jim!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Now I'm wondering if I should do this. Hmmmmmmmm.

If this wasn't a '78, I wouldn't even think about it. But the '78 is my favourite GT year. Love the air dam. Love the wheels. Love the back end.

I'm working on a deal for a, ummmm, British vehicle, this weekend. If that falls through, I might have to think about this more. I really do want a wagon, but still....

Edit: Is that rust in the lower portion of the passenger side windshield, or just a leaf?

Well, that was fast. I think I'll put this as my subject line in all future posts... :(

Matt, struggling with a price so looking for offers, I know...

Greg, sorry not a leaf, it's a dent with surface rust.

I'm 100% behind you there, Greg (except for the wheels). I'd do something awful to it, though, like installing a thousand goodies I already have.

It's not like either of us need another project car, or additional temptation...

Edit - and what the hell would I call it? I'm already calling a car "the GT".

Edit 2 - I figured it out: "The place I'm sleeping for the next few weeks". That's what I'd have to call it...

 Yeah, I hear you Matt. Although, this could potentially be a relatively small project. I'm guessing getting it running wouldn't be too bad, but I could be wrong. I hear you about adding the goodies as well. I'm already picturing how I'd want it to look.....could be fun.

And Jim, I did read in the original post that Craig mentioned the rust spot. Its not all the way through though is it?

After a long talk with Lisa last night we came up with a way to keep the GT and move forward with it.

Cool Jim. I'm glad to hear it.
