At some point in the not-to-distant future there will be a few parts available from my 245. I'm stripping most of the good ones but the engine and transmission will be available. It's got a really nice black leather rear seat in it. The complete fuel injection system will be there. The tranny has a modified torque converter although I really never noticed much of a difference.

The engine runs great although with 9.3:1 compression and stock deck height, it pings at 5 psi on anything but 94 octane. At 10psi on 94, it's got lots of giddyup though. No oil leaks but I noticed the waterpump was seeping a little the last time I was under it.

I don't know what else will be worth taking but if you have any suggestions, let me know...

You're parting your 245TI?
So, both you and Matt are parting your cars before I ever got to see them? Bummer.

get silly and replace it with this perhaps?:
http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/car/301958032.html

...just rust proof it really well before you drive it in calgary. I looked at that car, but I have to save up for books :( It was exceptionally nice for the miles, no rust or paint fading. I'm going to go off and cry now while I fix my pukey color 242 instead of having a nice DD silver 245.

I could maybe use some black interior junk, but it would be a while, as I currently have a pile of parts for a 245, but no 245.

What colour is the carpet in there Dale? I'm looking for some black carpet in good shape.

The carpet should be black but it's faded to a deep blue. It's in pretty good shape from what I can remember. I've always used the plastic floor trays...

Nothing a little black dye wouldn't fix. I take it you're just looking for carpets, not the rear deck...

Hmmm, come to think of it, it might be nice to replace all the brown panels in the back, as well as the deck. Are all yours black as well?

Everything's black. The only thing I've replaced in the car were the front seats and I only did that because I kept sliding around in the leather seats...

Interesting. An all black interior sounds good to me!

There is a 3" downpipe. It tapers down to 2 1/2" and then back out to 3" at the tailpipe. My old 3" system is now on Greg's car...

I'm thinking about putting my system on the 242, except for the downpipe, of course...
