It looks as though there is just a notch out of the bellhousing (that I will have to make) to make room for the sensor that is bolted to the engine it'self. So I'm thinking this is good news since as long as I can make room for the sensor, it will work. No messing around with the position of the sensor like I was afraid would be the case!
So you're saying you just have to machine/drill out a notch somewhere on the bellhousing to so the sensor can see the holes on the flywheel ? Can you use the AW72 bellhousing as a guide to help you locate exactly where the notch should go on the M46 bellhousing ?
And (again) where did you get the LH 2.4 flywheel and how much did it cost you ?
Also, when are you going to do this swap and will you need help ? I'd be very interested in helping because I want to do this same swap on my '95 944T and helping you would be a great opportunity for me to learn exactly how it's done. Please PM or call me at 270-7319 as far in advance of swap day as possible to let me know when you plan to do the swap. I hope it's not this coming weekend, I'm out of town from Friday - Monday. Any other time I'm good to go.
