I'm pretty late getting to this, but I figured I'd still post now, as I was out East directly after PNW was over.
I had a great time at the meet. I often drive fast on my own, but it was wicked to have guys in front of me ripping it up, helping me pick lines, and pushing me along. Following Dale and Athal pretty much ruled. The trip home went pretty good, and I was stoked to drive Craig's car. It was an honour to drive the Canuck, and it was a task I took pretty seriously lest I do something stupid to Craig's baby. Laura even had fun driving my car on the way home....saying it had "lot's of power and handles really well." That's my girl.
Just wanted to say thanks to Ian and anybody else that organized the meet, and also say it was great to meet a bunch of you I hadn't met before. Thanks to Matt for the hand cleanser, Dale for filling up my car with fluid after it puked a bunch out, and to Athal for tuning my K-jet. I got around 30mpg on the way home, which is better than the car used to do before my +T, so I'm plenty happy.
The YROG performed quite well on the trip, and as this was its first real flogging, I'm overall quite pleased. I guess my mechanical skills aren't completely a waste. I really want to say thanks to everyone on this forum for all the advice/input into my car, and in particular to the following people: Matt, Dale, Athal, and Craig, who have each offered immense skill, input, parts help, and knowledge to my project.Seriously, having you guys help with my car means an insane amount to me. Having the car running, performing, and looking the way it does has been a dream of mine for a long time. I'll cut with the sap now, but I do mean it.
Hopefully us Lethbridge folk can make it to Calgary soon.
