For some reason my car is charging at 18+ volts, so I'm assuming it's the voltage reg. Just wondering if any of you guys in Lethbridge have a spare. Even if I could just borrow one for a week to get home (where I have a spare) and then I can return it.
It's for a 90 amp bosch on a 1991 940 16 valve. I'm pretty sure any old b230 internal regulator will work.
Right now I have it set up with the voltage reg from a ford that was posted on turbobricks, and I assume somethings gone wrong there so I'm hoping to just go back to the simple internal regulator for now.
Thanks!
-Trevor

Jeez Trev, I can show you a way to go that it only takes you a couple of hours... :D

Wish I could help...I'm in the area right now but have no Volvo or Volvo parts with me. May be Craig or Gregg will read this before they go to work.

I've got one off an '89 b230f. Not sure if will be the same, but you're more than welcome to borrow it. I'll need it back eventually, but right now its just sitting on my shelf.
I'm off to work now, but give me a call at 381-1908 tonight, and we'll work something out.

So I picked up the regulator off greg, went out and froze in the Lethy wind to put it in...and nothing, just flat 12 volts..... so I went inside to warm up and think about what else it could be. Then it hit me, I didn't hook up the wire that excites the regulator (which was still connected to the old ford regulator). Went out, hooked it up, and BAM! 14.4 volts! Just over 24 hours from my post looking for a regulator, and were back on!
And I got to meet my first member of the bridge' crew, and see Greg's sweet 245 to boot! -Wicked

Sweet Trevor! Glad it worked for you!
Great to meet you as well. I'd love to see your car someday...never been in a 16 valve, and I'd love to hear your stereo as well!
