hey, i got a gift certificate for christmas this year that i plan on using towards a welder. ive only done a little bit of research into the whole deal, and im pretty sure mig would be the way to start.
Not looking for much, its gotta be 110v so i know im limited there, but i don't think i should jump into something too powerful while i learn. id like to be able to weld body sheet metal at least, and tube steel if i can.

this one seems good? lincoln elec, handy mig, comes with a face sheild, flux cored wire etc. alls i would need would be a bottle of gas. whatchya think?

my giftie is to the home depot.

thanks guys

I'm not saying NO...but that is a lot of money for that particular model. I've got a Deca from Pricess Auto, 5 years and still working like a champ and I'm sure I've put it through more wire than most on this board. It can be had on sale for about $300 and doesn't need the gas conversion kit.
