If that were in Calgary my wife might be divorcing me about now...

Then again, she might want to drive it.

Yea, that guy fails at life

165 was a stationwagon prototype of the 164, never put in actual production.

^ that is one big ass grill!!

the 164 is cool, but only if it's a stick. seems like the ones that are for sale are almost always autotragic's, which tells me the people with stick's will never sell.

If it's a stick, it's an M410 and likely in need of a rebuild. Try finding parts to rebuild one.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to the M410 that was in the trunk of the orange 142 Jordan?

I'm not big on the Craigslist 164 (need more/better pictures) but that 165 above looks real nice to me. I must admit though, there's something about them circular headlights on the 6 cylinder 100s which I never thought looked quite right, although love that big grille.

I always thought it looked OK as a 2 door but the Jag - esque shape of the front seemed like a compromise to me.

That's my buddy Eric's old car i'm almost dead certain. He never really did get it to run mint on the d-jet with a nasty cam (no shock) and it needs to be titled yadda. Still, it was a nice car back in the day, looked cool, and with a real nasty cam and headwork on the B30 the thing went real good and sounded absolutely disgustingly beautiful. His brother is a chemical engineer that works on subs and carriers and is at sea a lot and needed something more reliable to just drive without drama that he could park and drive off and on and sold it to this guy I think. Eric found him a mint old lady gold 244ti to drive (I actually like the deep gold with black trim on an early 240T).

Eric is one of my best volvo/portland friends. The car got a new fuel tank and a bunch of other stuff to help get the old D-jet sorted. With some freshening it would be pretty hysterical. The power steering box in it was nearly new and pretty tight and Eric custom made a giant swaybar set for it when he welded for IPD way back in the day. Most people dislike the look of 164s, and I am not wild about them I confess, but it is the one 4-door that I don't see as a DD/machine of utter flogging that you hammer because bashing in a door is no big deal...or totaling the whole car...always easy to find a mint 4-door 140/240 for dirt cheap. Kinda sucks that it is a 75 aesthetically, but it is awesome mechanically. The one exception being a late 74-75 164 has quite a nasty mix of metric and SAE hardware....good times sorting that out.
