OK, just thought I would start this thread so we have someplace to document ideas

An idea I had was to coordinate our event with an existing event. This way we can share (or pawn off) some of the organizing.

Two events come to mind, the first is Thunder in the Valley, this is a 3 day event (July 20-22) in the crowsnest pass with the highlight being a HUGE fireworks display. Included in the weekend are several car based events and activities. Their website is not updated yet but take a look.

The second idea is "Hot Night in the City" the major car event in Kamloops that I understand is exceptional. I do not know dates yet but it is usually in August

that'd be sweet if we could overlap something with a bc meet of sorts. i know we talked about pnw '07 actually BEING in the US pnw so maybe it would be a separate event, but might as well start planning as you say ian.
