I think I threw out the turbo k-jets from my 240. I have the k-jets from the 83 244 I parted and could save the set from the 84 242ti before it goes to the crusher that ran more recently. The k-jet turbos I've driven that had the wiring harness replaced and the k-jet cleaned once or twice drove really well. Those that had vac seals and injector o-rings replaced drove really nicely.
The k-jet doesn't need to be your enemy. I will say having a heap of clean known working k-jet junk could be a help since k-jets parts can be expensive.
I'm not sure if I'd bother to convert k-jet to LH2.2. LH2.2 is very reliable with the good harness. and I'm familiar with it and like it. The ideal donor car to make an LH2.2 240 is probably a lower mile 88 240 with the good harness and such.
