Do you know these bike shops? Which one is good and which one I must avoid?

Bicycle Café - Canmore
Mission Cycle - Calgary
Pure Cycles - Calgary
Ridleys Cycle - Calgary
Cyclepath Calgary North #43 (???) - Calgary

I'm looking for some particular bikes and it's not at canadian tire that I will find that.

And I might be selling my new bike soon. Anyone looking for a mountain bike?

To think about it, I'm a bigger bike fan than Volvo fan...

All-mountain bike

I'm currently looking for a Devinci Remix, or Rocky Mountain Element, I'm not sure of what version. (will depend on the price)

I'm pretty big into bikes, You need something done talk to me. I'll build one for you too, did that for myself.
Bike Cafe is a wicked one, if you are looking for something god but can live with used then check out www.pinkbike.com in the buy/sell section.
If you want, go to Bow Cycle and talk to John Fransky, tell him Andy Bruce sent you and see what he can do for you.

Athal....if you want a bad bike shop go to cyclepath south, if you know what you need and the staff dont have to think then your fine, otherwise good luck finding what you need.

yea andy is right, if your willing to go used there is a rocky mountian edge for 900 on pinkbike right now(i believe the edge is much like the element) http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/190849/ , other then that i personally have had great experiances with ridleys and bow cycle. Calgary cycle is the only shop i would stay away from they are VERY overpriced. For my last bike i decided to go used and just fix it up and upgrade the components, i just picked up a downhill bike- Norco VPS 1 with a Junior T pro on the front and a Vanilla RC, off of pinkbike.

On that note, is anyone here into downhill and would want to ride COP with me every once in a while?

Neh, I'll keep my new bike rather than to get a used one.

What is "cop"?

Would somebody be interest in biking in Canmore with me? I'd like to try a trail around. (or I could try the "cop" if it's really worth it)

Sure, lots of good biking out there, and k-country.

COP is not really for biking per se, there's a course set up, but you have to pay to use the hill. It's used for events and races, and there's a terrain park set up, but it's not like a huge ski hill. It's right in Calgary, there's a website...

Let's be more clear! :P

I'm always biking alone here. If I go close to you, it would be nice for once to have a buddy with me, specially that I saw that there's some bike amateurs here! :D

Some evening, when they'll announce good weather for the day after, we could set up a little ride? :?:

By the way Edicius, that's Andy, right? You said that you built a bike for yourself. Doesn't it cost more to buy all parts apart than to buy a complete bike? :?:
