You sure about bushings? I have replacement bushings in my drawer...for an 850 though. Maybe different?

The early 850's had replaceable bushings. But they changed after late 94 when they switched from the removable ball joint.

BUT, thats just Volvo stuff. Aftermarket wise, they may be the same.

hmm well, when andy gets back we'll find out...i'm not sure though dale but much love and many thanks ;)

oh yeah, and the cookies wouldn't be for dad. On this car, theres only so much I can trust dad to do... its more the...so dad and i dont get frustrated and kill each other so i bake cookies for the other people who know how to do it ;) and come on, my cookies are damned good! (just ask andy from when he helped me with the winshield washer fluid resevoir!)

so far as the bushings go, i'm pretty sure thats what i was told my creakyness is....so i'm thinking its gettin close to time with that....i dont like my car sounding like a just shy of 300k km car ;)

and jordan...do i even want to know how painfully hard dropping the rear of the sub frame is going to be? oh god now i'm scared.

Creaking? So probably sway bar bushings you're refering to then? I thought you were talking about control arm bushings. I have only heard the sway bar bushings creak, or sway bar links creaking. But there is always something new.

Its not *that bad* of a job. It will just be time consuming. I havn't looked at the underside for a while. Does the sway bar run infront of the rack, or behind it?

Try and get Andy to take it into the shop one day after work or on a Saturday and get him to bang it out for you.

Upper strut mounts, I think the right side but I can't remember. I believe on those you have to compress the spring though so you might want to wait a month or two until I could do it for you or else you can head to canadian tire and rent some spring compressors.

Front sway bar on those is attached to the subframe at the rear so you would have to drop that down. Not that big a deal but make sure the engine and that is supported.

oh this is gonna be fun...

y'all will hear my cursing from cold lake. ;) and hmm, so far as the strut mounts go I think I'll just wait a month or two for you (either way I'm talkin about waiting for spring on everything else lol so waiting a month or two...really not a big deal)
