Three blocks away the temperature is definately colder...like -23° and I still don't have the heater in the 122. Don't think the Canuck is taking me to hockey tonight.

Greg, Is that transmission hooking up yet?

Sadly, the tranny issue still isn't solved....just finished renovating my living room, and so that has been taking up all my time. But thats almost done, and so I'll have more time for the car. I did start to dismantle the OD on one of my spare trannies, but it seems pretty stuck on there. I pounded on it a little bit, but it won't separate. Do I need to wedge something in there? I may need your advice Craig once this thing is apart!
If you ever need a warmer place to work when its this cold, your 122 is always welcome in my garage!
Greg

Be careful what you pound on...I have Saturday off (wife out of town) and I could swing by and give you a hand. On the heated garage front...I still can't get into mine (full of lumber that should be my porch) and that's where the heater for the 122 is at the moment (would be a heck of a lot more use in the flippin car!). I've been driving with the windows down at -25°C! I finally got the carbs rebuilt and took the time to polish them (SU HIF6's), still no joy on the cylinder head (V-Performance is down for the count I think). I did get my TIG welded aluminum radiator in the other day, just wish I could put all the go-faster parts in the damn car!

And once those go-faster parts are in, you will, of course, need some stop-faster part too, I assume? 8)

Still no head eh? Its a wonder John can even run a business with that kind of wait time.....I guess if the head allows you to make 200hp AND solve world hunger it might be worth the wait.....
Glad to hear you've got some other work done on the car Craig, despite not having the head! Like I say, if you need a place to put the stuff in, my garage is open.

I may be gone this weekend up to my wife's farm...but I would definitely appreciate the help with the overdrive at some point. Thanks for the offer! If I'm around, maybe I'll try giving you a dial.

No doubt about it...I have a set of Wilwood calipers in the basement and may be thinking about putting them on (I was going to use them on my Jaguar MK2...but that project is way down the list). In my current world (70 hp if I'm lucky) I'm pretty sure I could slow the 122 down with a good pair of shoes! It's been almost a year waiting for the head to get finished and there isn't any point getting all excited about the whoa until I get a little go (not to mention my desire to have a 240 disk brake rear end...).

I totally understand...

If you want the 240 rear end, we've got the jig sitting here collecting rust...

Craig....you're good with a welder right? I'll pick up the jig next time I'm in Calgary.....and I've got some 240 brake parts I'm not using!

No rush on this one...but if it's no problem that would be great! It's great to have fellow enablers in the group.
