Oh, and Athal looks nothing like Bubbles, in his avatar. Just in case you were looking for someone wearing coke-bottle glasses...

Sorry for my disappearing act, folks. That guy I was talking to was a buddy of mine from WAY back, who I haven't seen for a while. He'll talk your ear off if you give him half a chance...

Was nice to sit with you all. Next time I'll be able to spend a bit more time chatting.

It's just best that you don't ask, and don't let him under your hood, dearie.

Sorry to miss out (again) guys. You probably all heard the story, but my car died downtown in the middle of freakin rush hour in the middle of the street. This wouldn't normally be too stressful for me (or any of us that built a hundred quirks into our cars) but I had two girls with me so needless to say my manhood was wounded!

Turns out it was my old battery finally giving up the ghost. I've been trying to figure out why my voltage has been getting lower and lower recently, and put it down to some heat related alternator problem. Apparently it was my battery turning into a resistor...

So I just rigged the terminals up snug but not tight just to see if it would start, but then my hood release broked so I couldn't open the hood to tighten the terminals. Voltage was fluctuating a bit so I put it down to loose connection and just made sure I got it the short drive home, rather than try driving up the hill to have a quick drink with y'all....

I'll be ready for PNW'07!!!

Darth is in dry dock in the death star for the summer. Had an ooooollld battery in the 242. Not that the replacement is much newer, well, maybe 7 years newer! Oh, need to go out and check it, left it charging over night...
