(I gotta pick up my apartment keys from my ex after the fact...and maybe it's girl-warfare tactics, but you never ever approach the ex looking anything but amazing)

lol well yeah, come on, let me take the feminine approach for once when it comes to my car.

"oh no, I can't change a tire! I'll break a nail!"

"put in new spark plugs? but that will mess up my hair!"

"why should lil ol me fix my car when there's all you menfolk around to do it for me? *insert girlie giggle here*

okay, now that I officially want to vomit...

although, come on, if dressing pretty gives me access to your boys' tools...(oh yeah I SO went there...double entendre's are my friend) and knowledge....i'm all for it! lol

Oh well....might as well say it, I can only do work for people or use shop tools when i'm not working. Generally with me working nights this means on a saturday when I am not working (and I work every other saturday). I know I have done work for people while on the job in the past and I will always make exceptions depending on the season but for the most part thats it. If you need anything done please don't hesitate to ask as everyone knows that cars seem to be what I eat, sleep, breath, and study.

sad thing is I know so many girls like that...

I'd be the one they'd call in ottawa..."but kat, I can't change a tire! I'll get all dirty!"

sometimes i wish i was a girl so i could get other people to fix my car :) I hate having to do any repairs to my daily driver because there is always a time crunch. Project cars are fun because you can take your time and if you get frustrtated you can just pack up for the day and try again later.

ah yes, having the tits comes in very handy for some things. You guys are letting me get away with an amazing amount of ...lack of knowledge. If I were a guy I'm sure you'd be flaming the hell outta me!

(and just to clarify...my purpose of being on here is not so I can say, hey, you know what you're doing, I don't, fix muh car cause I got the bosoms o' wonder, and those mean i always get my way...I'm more on here so I can learn how to do some of this stuff, and so I can say okay, so we all think this is what's wrong with my car...someone help me out with it so I don't completely bugger it, or show me how (with involvement on my part)

The people who get flamed are the ones who act like imbiciles, and nobody on this board types or acts like they're from Alabama, so there's very little flaming here. Serious flaming, that is: every once in a while someone will do or say something that someone else takes umbrage with, and an arguement will happen, but not often.

There are so few Albertan Volvo people that we need to be kind to one another, and recognize that we're all learning and we've all got SOMETHING to share. As Steph (Pa231) pointed out, he's not the most knowledgable guy (**with regard to working on cars**) and we haven't run him off, so why should we run you off? You're both willing to learn and you're asking questions, not just running off and doing stupid stuff.

The truth is, your patented Bosoms-O-Wonder probably do get you a little leeway in terms of "car guy knowledge", simply because you're a relative rarity. There are more car guys than you can shake a stick at (most of them not worth the cars they own), but there are very few car girls who want to work on their own stuff. Kayla (Girlwithblack245) is another one of you cherished few. And what's more, you both interact with us on "our" level and on "our" playing field, which deserves a certain amount of credit!
