I have that maximum set that goes for 249 on sale and I love it to be honest. The wrenches are longer so you get more torque, the ratchets lock the sockets on (which is good and bad) but are defiantely a sturdier design, and I know its not a major thing for a lot of people but the trays are a nice high density foam instead of a cheap plastic.

I've compared the sockets to Jds snap-on ones and they carry the same design and I like how they are a semi-deep socket. So far I havn't broken one even using them on my impacts so thats nice. Theres some definate throw away bits in it, like the allans wrenches and the ignition wrenches. And I mentioned earlier how theres some key bits missing but all in all its quite complete.

To go with the kit i'd recommend the 32pc wrench set when it goes on sale for $50 bucks (maximum wrenches) and a set of good screwdrivers and you will be set for a long while.

Alberta Employment Standards Code, this is the law, maybe you could educate your employer (who are lawyers, right?)

Employee Initiates Termination
The length of notice an employee is required to give also depends on the duration of employment and should be in writing. The minimum notice requirements that employees are required to provide are:

one week - for employment of more than three months, but less than two years
two weeks - for employment of two years or more.

If an employee gives proper notice, the employer must pay all earnings to the employee within three days following termination of employment.

If an employee quits without proper notice all wages, overtime, holiday and vacation pay is due to the employee within 10 days after the date on which the notice would have expired if it had been given.

yeah Ian, I emailed her this morning, she told me she should have it for me in the next few days.

And since the necessary notice is one week, and I gave two, if I do not have it by the end of the week, trouble will be had.

...and just to update everyone, I am now the proud owner of a Orbital battary...which was cheaper than wal mart's price of the optima battery by about twenty bucks. hurrah!

Now, I'm not sadistic enough to attempt putting it on in a dark dirty parking lot....(although I've done car stuff before in those conditions...well, filling the windshield washer resevoir at least!) so it's gonna be put in on Saturday :) YAY!

Oh how interesting to have my posts edited!

You could always take it back and save 50ish bucks. won't be an orbital (not that I know what that is), but just how fancy of a battery do you need?

aiight Ian, i'll pick these up and then pick up that other thing at wally world tonight.

Athal - you rock and hopefully i remember you next time but im kinda getting tired of questioning if my cars gonna start - especially with the impending cold snap. as is im hoping to take advantage of tomorrows supposed warmness to throw the new battary in, so i'm gonna be impatient as all hell n say thanks for the offer, but i think just to keep things easy, i'll stick with what ive got.

And my god. Where am I going to put these stands in my kitchen? ;)I'll find a spot!

**EDIT**
so, one pair? that'd just hold my front or my rear up eh?
