Alright, door number one has opened, and I'm good with it. Price is $112 shipped for the H4/9004, and $72 for the H7. We're all getting 4500K (white) (except for Tyler), but also available are 6000K, 8000K, and 10,000K. If you want to change your colour or quantity of bulbs, do it now!

Tyler: I need to hear from you about the bulb style and the colour. I want to get these things ordered Monday.

By the way, these are getting shipped to James' house in Portland, and there will be a slight delay before we see them up here. James has a bunch of other things to ship up to me & to Dale, and unless there is a delay in getting Dale's stuff, we'll be trying to ship them all together. If you're desparate for your bulbs, we can talk to James about just forwarding this package on by itself.

Excellent news - getting very excited about getting all of this done this winter. Matt, send me a PM with the total and a paypal account or whatever you prefer - it's the start of the month and I still have money in the bank

Speaking of lights - what did you decide for the Bertone? Damn that thing is going to be SEXY. How did the leather treatment work?

Craig, you can bring money when you come up next weekend, or you can Paypal me if you prefer. Add in the 3% for Paypal fees, and chip in a few bucks for shipping from James' house if you don't mind.

I've got the leather treatment in my basement. I'm not able to pull the car apart until it's snuggly warm in my garage, and that won't be 'till at least January sometime. I might even hold off on working on it 'till the springtime, 'cause I've got so much to do that needs to get done, & the Bertone is just a toy so it can wait. I'll probably not do too much to it beyond cleaning and a tuneup, but I'll probably still buy the headlights this winter and that'll give me something to tinker with.

I'll bring cash next week - that way no one can trace the purchase! By the way I laugh everytime I see that I've made it to "0-60 in VERY FAST" given my number of posts. Anyone who knows my car knows this just aint so.

So they're ordered, and I got a message from DHL saying that they're on their way to James' work in Portland. James will be forwarding ours onto us as quickly as his time allows, so we should all be seeing them eventually.

Good deal. I'm fixing the DHL driver's car so it would seem, so we should have a bit of an inside track if they doddle delivering it there. I'll assemble a list of what I have and weigh it, but more importantly, chat with my boss about how best to ship it all.

Got an approximate ETA? I will be gone this friday-saturday-sunday for my grandma's 80th birthday (we are 60 years apart nearly exactly). Today marks the day my grandad died, and the 10th is her birthday. This is kind of a high stress time of year generally, especially for her as she does so much charity work, but I think this year people are a bit lonely, but less stressed it seems.

I may also need another set of poly bushings (this set arrived just great!) for a 100K mile bright silver 1-owner 244GL to replace mom's gold 125K mile 1-owner 1990 744. Granted, the 744 will probably be sold back to the PO (our neighbor, so it will simply live across the street and I'll probably still fix it (not that it ever breaks) :(.

DHL says that estimated delivery is on the 14th of November, so you shouldn't see it this weekend.

I'm not sure how Dale is handling the bushings now, and I'm not really sure he knows either. Where he was getting the bushings is no longer the US distributor, so I imagine Dale's been working with the new distributor to set something up. Not sure if that's in place yet, or if this is even in effect. Prices may or may not change.

Cool. No hurry. On the bushings. I'll look for a package next week.

Yeah...I'm not sure what's happening with bushings right now. I haven't been contacted by the new distributor yet...

Care to share who you got them from?

Cool! Hopefully fedex didn't take you to the cleaners on your doorstep?

Hope you enjoy the next round of stuff headed your way!

Looking at the kit that Dale dropped off today, I've got to say I'm a bit pissed. This kit isn't quite what the one Jakob from Tbrix got. I think the shield is a bit too far away from the bulb to make a real difference in the output of the bulb, there is no front shield, and the shield isn't tilted at 12* like his was (and like a normal H4 bulb is). All of this is fixable, I guess, but it's a bit of a pissoff.

Fortunately I figured out how to get the capsule & solenoid out of the frame, so I can actually mount one in a headlight tomorrow and try it out. Before I install them in my car I've got to rig up or retrieve from the JY an adapter from the euro plug to the DOT plug, though.

What do we owe you, James? I appreciate you getting it to us early enough in the winter that we get to play with them for the seriously daylight-deprived months!
