Yup...should be a bed available...

Just checked various long term forecasts. Looks like we'll be driving out in rain until at least Revelstoke. Should be a reasonable weekend though with temps in the mid 20's in Vancouver, Whistler, Pemberton and Lilloet. That's pretty cool for Lilloet. Supposed to be showers Monday for the drive home but it looks like we are out of them around Revelstoke too. Not great for scenery going out or coming back but not bad for driving; particularly in a car with heat that won't shut off... :?

Stupid weather... For once that it wasn't raining when I try to do some stuff on my car, I'm just finishing installing myself and it starts raining hard... It have been like that for the last 10 days...

And bad news, I must be back here for sunday. My friend from new brunswick is coming to visit me. I'll go to Vancouver with you and return to Kamloops and spend some time with the group. Then, I'll see when I'll head back.

By the way, when do you plan to arrive in Kamloops? And where could we meet?

We'll meet at the Petro-Canada truck stop at the top of the hill on the west side of town. It's on your left side as you head west but you need to exit to the right. It's just past a big shopping mall that's on the right. Depending on traffic, we should be there around 1PM local time; possibly a bit later. What's your cell number? We can call you when we're coming into town or vice versa...

The plan is to have lunch at that Petro-Canada...

Geoff...give me a call before you leave or let me know here what time you think you'll be rolling into town...

403-863-4429 is my cell number...

I'm so )(*&%)(*%$_)(*%$_)*&%$_)*(_%)$(* pissed off right now. All the *@$&*@&$* work i've been doing the last few months, scraped knuckles, grease and dirt in every nook and cranny, chiropractor visits so i could have the 242 ready for this meet, and it just ain't going to happen. Include my dads time and effort and some help from matt and dale in there as well.

Ultimately, there's no one to blame but myself. I put things off for too long, ran into unplanned problems (ya, THAT never happens) and obviously didn't plan well enough.

So Darth rides again, maybe with moar bewst or something. Or maybe I'll bring that v-cam along in case everyone wants a cam install clinic on one of the evenings...

Just needed to vent. Still do actually...

I know your feeling Athal, went through exactly the same thing last year ... missed just about every event, you know most of the story.

Anyway I am home if you need to borrow tires

Sorry, Athal. I can't help but feel somewhat responsible as well. I've been burning the candle at both ends: in Dale's garage and my own, without any time for your project. Lord knows you needed it.

I really think you are making the right decision, though - that car of yours just isn't running right, and needs too many little things to get it ready for the trip.

On another note: Dale and I had a pretty quiet ride to my garage today, in my car, both of us wondering what we'd need to do to get another car ready for the trip. Dale took the 122 on a couple errands today, and phoned me with the dreaded "it won't start" call. Wiring issue (broken solder joint) but it could have been much worse. Up and running again, back on the original plan, but it was looking bad there for a minute.

Bastard... It's not raining, so I try to do some stuff on my car. I lifted my car to install my sway bar and the *(&?%$/@ jack broke (sudden oil leak). A brand new jack! So no swaybar...

It'll teach me to go to play outside when the weather is great and waiting for cloudy day to work on my car... (Nah... I never felt better since I'm riding my bike every weekend)

Tomorrow, I'll probably arrive before you at Kamloops, but I must find a UPS ou Purolator to send a box asap, so don't panic if you don't see me at 1pm at the petro-canada station. Anyway, I'll call one of you to let you know.
