Bring hearing protection  the elevated night time noise levels echoing inside the wagon (re:snoring) could cause permanent hearing loss or structural damage to frame and drivetrain components

I really wish there was someone for me to carpool with... I'll even be in the car alone this time. With a tape deck. And one tape. Oye. :)

Thanks for taking the lead on this while I was out of town Dale, appreciate it :D The plan sounds good so will meet you at Deerfoot Meadows, where in the mall do you want to meet?

As for getting 400km on a tank ... not sure I have not really tested total mileage but after the Lethbridge run I would say I am probably safe ???? I hope.

you are running a ford engine in there darlin, i wouldn't be so sure. ;)

n dude, at least your tape deck works!!!! my cd player ...goddammit the chainsaw's starting up again...anyways back on topic, my cd player enjoys skipping randomly once you get middle to end of most cds. I think the only one it doesn't do that on is the new rise against cd...imagine driving all the way back from cold lake solo with one rise against cd...oh good god, i couldnt listen to them for two months afterwords!! MAKE MORE TAPES! ;)

Come on, Ian... You averaged 20+mpg (granted, that was based on Dale's mythical 4.55 litre gallon) last trip, and now you've got 19 gallons of fuel, so by my reckoning you should be clear for 505 km or so. That is, of course, if you don't have your jetting completely messed up...

Back on topic

Let's meet at Ricky's Restaurant (just south of IKEA) in the Deerfoot Meadows.
They actually open at 7:00 so those that want to come early and grab something to eat be there when it opens. We will be leaving from there at 8:00 AM

Actually, it's a recording of a late night "show" by a local radio station from when they did techno at nights... It's over 4 years old, but it's still good. I've listened to it at least a thousand times, but it's still good enough to loop through on long trips.

I don't have a way to make any more tapes though, unless I go to my parent's house... I think I'll see if I can borrow some of my dad's Led Zepplin and Who tapes, maybe whatever else he has.

How driveable is that thing under 2500, or 2000 rpm? Keep the rpm low, the throttle openings around 1/4 throttle when accelerating, coast as much as possible, leave lots of room between you and whatever's in front so you don't have to slow down, don't slow down for corners... :) You'll be fine!

I only have a 2.5" exhaust so I could keep my stock stereo, it doesn't weigh too much...

Crane roller cam 274/282 duration (224/232 @ .050) with .583“/ .605” lift
... not too efficient at lower rpm's but as Matt mentioned, with the larger fuel tank all should be well.
