Hey guys,

I was out at PYP today and there was an old German guy pulling a diesel engine out of a 240. I can't understand what he wants in that lump but whatever...

However, he also pulled the tranny but didn't want it. It's an M46. Obviously the bellhousing is all wrong but I believe the tranny is the same M46. This thing had the nicest shifter action of any M46 I've ever shifted. The car had 240k on it but being a diesel I can assure you it has not been stressed. I tossed it in the trunk of another car.

I believe that car may also have a 3.31 rear end if anyone wants a really tall rear end.

Maybe the resident librarian can chime in here...James? The floor is yours buddy...


There was also a plain jane 244DL with 102k on the clock...

I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. What car should I look in?

I can pick it up for you andy - what car is it in? I was told the M46 in Diesels was stronger internals than any other M46...

Just wondering what the verdict is on this one? I'm planning on walking this week so I might pop it in at work one evening.

Went out first thing this morning to grab it and it wasn't in the trunk of the car I left it in. I suspect someone found it a took it...
