My new clutch is really jerky when I lunch my car from a complete stop. Not matter how I try, drive it hard or gently. Once the car is moving, there's not trouble. Did we do something wrong or it's just my clutch kit that is lame?

its common if the flywheel wasn't machined when you changed the clutch. Flywheel chatter I think they call it, just gotta let the clutch wear in a bit and it will go away but it still sucks.

It might be a torn motor mount or a bad bushing in the rear end.

Can also be caused by oil contamination on the clutch disc, pressure plate or flywheel. Were there any oil leaks at your rear main seal or the trany front seal?

I just looked at my pictures. No visible leak, everything was dry inside the casing on each side. No oil anywhere on the old parts here.

i just put a new clutch from FCP in my wagon as well. it engaged really jerky as well for the first 1000 kms. i machined the flywheel and there are no leaks or anything.

You probably just need to let the clutch out slower, my old clutch had 380 000 kms on it and was nearly impossible to stall so i just got used to the easy engagement. Now with the new clutch i find i have to let it out much slower and smoother. Did you break the clutch in properly? that can have a pretty big affect on engagement if not done properly

As I said, even when I try gently...

Break in? I'm not sure, I drove from Calgary to home, I didn't use it much. (well, there was many tourists on the road, but it's not city driving)
