Looks like my idle engine is dying. The idle is very rough (more and more) and idling rpm is not equal. And today, when I started the car, the idle was rough and the rpm was at 0 (but engine was still running) :?

Trouble with RPM sensor or idle?

Sounds like an ignition problem. If the engine is running, you're obviously getting spark, but the tach reading 0 means it's not seeing the spark signal so obviously something is wrong there.

I'm not sure if I can trust my rpm. Sometime, when I drive, the rpm will be 3-400 more than what it should be. Example at 70 in third gear, rpm should be at 3000rpm. Yesterday, it was at 3100rpm at 60. (With a brand new clutch, it shouldn't be slipping)

But when driving, the engine is running normal. Same power, same fuel economy, nothing unusual on this side. :?

start ignoring your tachometer.

check tylers "no start" thread. Sounds like it could be a faulty crank sensor if it's not a spark problem.

Raz, it's not just the tach. At idle, the engine is running, but it's running "square". It's only a idle problem. That's why I was wondering about the idle engine.
