Like the title says, I need a logo. I've been building a new website from the ground up and have decided the logo is boring. I've got the site temporarily loaded up here...

http://members.shaw.ca/dgwalmsley/BC%20 ... /index.htm

I need a logo that'll fit with that theme. Oh, and please don't come back to me with complaints about broken links and stuff. I know...it's not done yet. I just want to get a new logo before I get it loaded on the main server.

A single-line logo would be handy to do stuff like windshield banners and stuff.

Greg? Whassup? I'll make it worth your effort buddy...

Greg's out of town at the moment - Due in tonight. Do you have copyright for that image? Could you make the text not over write over the image? Looking very sleek.

Yeah...I'm working on the text overwriting thing. Just haven't figured out what I want to do there.

I found the image on one of those free domain image sites. Until someone complains, I'll use it...

Cool, I like the concept of some of those cars. Too bad the artist played fast and loose with the basic proportions of the car - makes you believe it is possible to achieve the look - and it isn't without stretching things in various dimensions. I do like the window treatment on this one, but don't particularly like the rear bumper. Some of the others are on my "must consider" for styling. At the very least I'd like to eliminate the vent windows at some point.

The part I like is that the look establishes that your company is doing cool innovative things for vintage Volvo's. If you're looking for suggestions, I hope you have a customer rides section and somewhere for people to suggest new parts/ideas (with disclaimer). You're welcome to use the billet grills etc from my car if you like (potential sale item/feedback etc) - I should get to work on them in the next week and get them plated with the bumpers. If I remember, I'll bring up my Monza flip fuel cap for inspection - I think that would make a cool billet addition to the 122 collection.

One more idea - Raydot mirrors with flat side door mounts for the 122. Machine a custom right angle bracket that would allow the mounting of these mirrors to the 122 on the door instead of on the fender (I have one of them as well).

Points taken. I appreciate the feedback. I've made a couple of changes. We'll talk about the mirror idea. I like it.

Uploaded another rendition. This one uses cascading style sheets and is much cleaner. I need the logo before going much further though as I need to decide if the car will stay in the background on the main page or become a permanent background for the logo.

It's also doing some strange stuff and jumping to my old site for some reason. Don't know why that is but it won't be an issue once it actually becomes the permanent site.

The text descriptions will wrap pictures of the products on the left and under. I just need to get some good photos loaded. Need some parts first...

Looking good...you'll have to remind your propeller-head that the links from within a page all come up 404 (ie if you click on the main page to see Wilwood adapters, then I click to see T-5 adapters, it comes up dead).

One thing I would like to see is some form of "who we are" page. I know you have a history of the company, but who is the guy behind the company. For me, this is fairly important (although I make mistakes like believing VPD and JP etc) and I would like to see this part added. I'm more liable to deal with an online supplier if I feel there is some connection. While the customizing, make it work better sort of attitude is front and centre, I would like to see some form of personal introduction.

Opinions only.

The links are doing weird things. They actually jump to my old website for me. If you hit "back" before selecting the next link, it will work. Again, when the site is up in its permanent place, it'll be a little more stable.

I plan to do a bit of a biography to add to the "about us" section. Just haven't gotten to it yet.

Thanks Raz. John isn't helping me. In fact, the first rendition I did myself with a little setup work from Ian. The second one is with help from my buddy Trevor, who happens to be the owner of the blue 245 that sat in my driveway for a few years. He does most of his stuff in html...

Greg sent me some logos tonight. To quote him, I'm stoked! A couple look great. Actually, they all look great. I just like a couple of them more than the others. Just need to work out some minor details and we'll have a logo! Stickers? Business cards? Windshield banners? :partyman:
