hi guys i'm Doug. I don't post often, and actually this is my first new topic post. Anyways... I was pretty much offered a free car today and might need help to rebuild it. there are alot of problems but it is in kind of driveable condition. if any one is interested in an "adventure" let me know.

thanks

Good score! Although there is no such thing as a 1993 850 Turbo. The first year offered for the Turbo was 1994.

Welcome Doug,

there are a few folks on here with wrong wheel drive rides. As Greg mentioned, the first year for the turbo was 1994 so make sure you know what you're getting into!

Hey Kat, here's your chance to learn on someone elses car!

I took a look at the car and it is a turbo so I'm not sure why the guy told me it was a 1993. I'll see if I can get in touch with him to get things straight.

so you guys are right the car is not a 1993. I got the vin from the current owner and I checked it out and it in fact is a 1994.

p.s. about the "wrong wheel drive" thing I drive a 1987 740 and that is a "right wheel drive". God I love rear wheel drive.

What kind of adventuring with this new 850 do you need help with?

the current owner of the car phoned me today to tell me that he had sold the car. which ment I couldn't take it for free... I'm a student and unfortuantly couldnt offer much. hopefuly the new owner of the car does some good with it. anyway I'm still driving my '87 740 that I plan to rebuild this summer and do something interesting with. I'll post plans for that later.

thanks anyways
