Ok ... I have had some wine and I am feeling good.
Anyway al loooong time ago a froup through the Calgary Sprts Car Club had a series of HO scale slot car trackes set up amd we would meet regularly to race.

Believe me a well designed slot car track easily duplicates a day at a race track. Anyone interested on setting up some tracks so that next winter we can meet for some "races"

Let's talk....

Damn, I haven't seen my slot car track for close to 20 years... All my cars are gone and so's the track.

Would be fun to watch, though.

It has also been many, many years for me too Matt. The idea would be to have 1, 2, 3 ... tracks, we could all chip in and help set them up. Then all each of us would need would be a car or two.

There are lots of HO series AFX on EBay http://search.ebay.ca/ws/search/SaleSea ... =3&frpp=50

Now the problem, I definilty do not have room at my house for a good track, anyone want their basement taken over???

Nope.

Actually, what I'd prefer is to get an RC car night going. Not that I have one of those either, but I prefer the thought of that, myself.

Good idea, I could go for that rather that the slot cars, and an open parking lot or field is much easier to find than room in anyones basement.

the CSCC club house shares quarters with the local RC club, theres a nice big track in the back for RC cars as well as an iced lake.

I've wanted an RC car for a while, but have always kind of disliked the gas engine ones, yes they are way faster and make better noise... but there are really fast electrical ones too :)
