Hi All,

I'm sending out the notice a little early to try to encourage people to book off the time and come and join us in Lethbridge for the street wheelers weekend (http://www.streetwheelers.com/). It's on the July 11-13th weekend.

I figure we've got a shot at winning the club event at the very least.
Come watch people drive their cars 100 ft very fast (bring a fake mullet and fit right in) and the slalom is listed on the website (didn't happen last year). Show and shine on Sunday is good fun, and Deirdre and I will be hosting a BBQ on one evening (Friday or Saturday).

Craig

As usual we are planning on attending.
This is probably one of the best car shows and events around, lots of very cool cars, tons of spectators and the cruise evenings are a blast

Just a heads up, the area is usually full early, here is a quote from their website to give you an idea:
"There are approximately 30,000 spectators drawn to the event each year"

Rooms and camping sites are at a premium

I will be there for sure. I love this event. Wish my truck was done but I guess the Lexus will do.

It would be cool to meet some of you guys though, I feel like I only know a small portion now!

Bump action - about 6 weeks to go until the big show. I'm still hoping to have my car done, but it is getting a little tight. Anyway, Deirdre and I would like to have the gang over on Saturday evening for a BBQ. On the event side of things, they have canceled the slalom for now (just checked, and it's on again!!), so if people are interested we could do our own cruise around southern Alberta on Saturday.

Craig knows this already, but I won't be in town over this weekend, and won't be able to attend. I'm pretty sad about missing out, but hope whoever comes has a great time.

Ditto...

A good friend in Victoria is celebrating his 50th birthday. Saturday is a surprise birthday party for him...

I don't have a car to show off anyways. Next year...

That's the general idea - you have to pick up your wine (prize for guessing the head arrival date).

Hope I can get my car together for the weekend.

Fixed :D

You had better get your car together, it is a long way to push it to the park

I'm doing my best, but some parts are still not in and my back has been slowing me down a lot of late. I hope to get the underhood stuff started this weekend and should have the painting done soon after. There is alot of detail work going on, so no point in rushing - these days, it is getting harder for me to move period, let alone work hours on top of hours on the car.

Missing two years in a row would be depressing - we'll do what we can. New wheels should be in by Thursday.

It's the only thing in my calendar right now!

Could stay at lundbreck, but if Greg or Craig have a lawn that could be used that would be more convenient, and cheaper on gas!
