this happened to my 79, eventually it just would not start, it has spark, timing etc but no fuel, the relay is good, so i would start with the fuel pump. of course keep in mind this car is still dead in my driveway, let me know if you figure it out.

you're gonna need to stage zero that thing- new filters, plugs (wires too, if their age is unknown), clean the idle valve, etc etc etc. set the timing, set the mixture, check for vacuum leaks, etc etc...

after that, if there's still a problem it will be easier to diagnose.
