The weekend was awesome
We had a good Volvo representation and a lot of interest from the massive crowds
Thanks again to the Coburn's for their hospitality

Dale, no picture of Matt polishing his car??? :D

Was a great time for the short amount of time we had. Was nice to meet Ian and Dale as well as see the Volvord again and Craig's 122 in person. Matt's 780 was really awesome too.

Damn that ES is the sexiest car...almost enough to get me off the 122 wagon train. 4 cars to join Ian was great, hopefully we can pull a few more for next year's show. Thankfully, I have no bad out of focus pictures to share.

That's what everyone said 2 years ago...and then again last year. It's not like we don't give you plenty of notice... :?

It's not just the Sunday car show. The cruise Friday night had countless millions of dollars worth of machinery rolling up and down 3rd Ave for 3 hours. Serious dollars rolling by...continually. I can't even begin to name the crazy stuff that we were cruising with but I'm willing to bet more than a few of them had well over $50,000 into the engine and a few dozen likely had that much into paint. It's seriously insane...

I was in lethbridge for some illegal street racing from about midnight to 9 am saturday, then we drove home, mostly because i wasn't feeling good (I'm very limited in how much I can be out)

it was fun seeing some of the people from last year...

next year, hopefully I'll be driving myself down.

where were you guys? where is that show/shine thingie that you guys were at, what with your polishin and waxin =P~

The schedule is always the same:
Closed cruise on Friday from 7:00-10:00pm (registration for cruise starts at 5:00 at the exhibition grounds)
Saturday is the 100' dash at the exhibition grounds
Sunday is either the show and shine at Galt Park or the slalom (venue for this changes yearly)

It was so much fun to have Craig, Dale, Matt, Dave and Jim there this year

Hey i'm not sayin i was left out! All i have is a wagon in need of a serious professional polish with steel wheels and studded winters or my motorbike right now. In hindsight it might have been nice to ride down for the sunday, but *I* didn't plan ahead well enough for that

I wasn't polishing!!! Ian made a clean spot and I had to deal with it.

Thanks to Dale and Beth for re-routing their trip home to chase the sputtering, stalling, and restarting 780 all the way home. F$king thing. I THINK it was the radio suppression relay, whatever that does. I'm going to have to go back and re-read Jim's thread on the red car, and do a google. Thank heaven I had a spare.

It was 'cause I washed the engine... I know it!

Now that's a great shot...cleaning windows, waxing an engine compartment and conditioning a bumper. The fact that none of us noticed the picture being taken is a testiment to how much fun we were having.

Next year we should rig up a banner or wear bikini's or something to attract a croud. (Maybe hire Raz to show up when the events are on wearing a grill as a necklace and have him stand there making engine noises all day  )
