Who ever invented drywall as a finish for inside homes was a demented, sadistic and twisted individual. I think my bathroom has more corners, edges and fiddly crap than the rest of my house has total

Easy Lads, drywall mud is just like bondo - some should do it, others should not. Remember the goal is to NOT sand anything. I've done this way too much (from my construction days) and it gets easier with time.

Wise words and easy to say in theory, but in practice ... I am definitely sanding too much.

Have I told you how much I hate taping drywall? #-o

OK, I have to admit that the more I do the better I get.
Practice does work ... still hate it but not quite as bad

Just remember that your taping knife can and should be used to mow down any highs between coats, only sand on the final and if you don't like that you can always finish "sanding" with a damp sponge.

I thought I would post a few pics of what I have been up to.
It is VERY difficult to get a good picture of such a small room, but this will give you the idea. (need someone with a 24mm or wider lens :))

I have a ton of work to do yet, still have to tile one wall build and tile the shower, build the mirror frame and cabinet above the vanity, build the drawers for the vanity, install the toilet, the list goes on.

This has been a major renovation, the bathroom was fully gutted, the wall behind and to the left of the vanity was moved, the vanity and toilet now sit where the original bath tub was, the shower (42"x39") goes to the left of the vanity.

p.s. HATE the test paint color on the wall, still looking for the right shade
